SUMMARY
About Eleven (11) years hands on experience as a “Sr. Telecom Engineer and Strategy Planner for Telecom services” with well renowned telecom company, The Pakistan Telecom Company Ltd. PTCL Pakistan. Remained responsible for about 7 years in installation, testing & commissioning, operation & maintenance of digital switching systems i.e. AXE 10, EWSD and ALCATEL, at TRANSIT/ MSU’s/ OCB, RDLU’s, CSND, OMC/DCP & DSB’s positions along with allied power plant of these exchanges. Also having excellent hands on 3 years experience in the testing & commissioning, operation & maintenance of digital/analog microwave and fiber optic transmission systems i.e. DRS 34-Mbits/sec, Optical Fiber System (PDH/SDH) and UHF/VHF analog systems. Extensively worked as Strategy Planner and Business Developer for new Telecom services and emerging technologies i.e. HFC oriented CATV network planning and designing, MMDS, LMDS, VoIP, Prepaid card services and IN platform services. Recently, completed degree course “Masters in Telecom Management” from Sofrecom INT France.

 B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering) from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore Pakistan during Jan 1988 with 77.3% aggregate.

SKILLS AND HANDS ON EXPERIENCE: -
1. STRATEGIC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
 Formulation of strategy to launch new telecom services i.e. cable TV, IN, VMS and Prepaid Calling Cards.
 Preparation of Concept Paper on innovative technologies & telecom services for top management of PTCL.

2. AXE 10, EWSD, ALCATEL AND NEAX61E DIGITAL SWITCHING SYSTEMS
 Installation, APS (application program system) loading, testing & commissioning of various AXE10/ EWSD/ ALCATEL central/ multiprocessor systems.
 Hands on experience in Operation & Maintenance of AXE10/ EWSD/ ALCATEL transit, main switching units, OCB, CSND, remote line units, small digital exchanges, data communication processor & digital switchboards.
 Office data creation, expansion, modification & dumping in order to implement subscriber/routing/code-point & charging mechanisms.
 Studying and planning of intra & inter exchange traffic volume and creation/modification of new/existing circuit groups and routes accordingly.
 Execution of various safeguard routines & fault diagnosis in order to maintain the switching systems in optimal working state.
 Activation of built in recording & call tracers to monitor the traffic flow/ calls completion ratio, call failure ratio, answer to seizure ratio, grade of service etc.

3. OPTICAL FIBER, DRS AND UHF/VHF TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS
 Testing & Commissioning, O & M of the digital transmission systems i.e. PDH/SDH optical fiber and 34/ 8x2/8 Mb/s (DRS) and single/multi channel analog VHF/UHF.
 Using testing tools/ meters i.e. high frequency power meters, high frequency counter and bit error recorders carrying fault diagnostics on transmission links and media.
 Acceptance testing and commissioning of new OFS/ DRS/ VHF systems.
 Handling interconnectivity issues with other telecom operator’s i.e. mobile operators, ISP’s and pre-paid card companies.
