09/00 - Date - Consultant/General Manager - Advantage Mortgage Group, Inc., Everett, WA

Manager of a full service mortgage brokerage firm associated with five Century 21 real estate offices. Fannie Mae, FHLMC, FHA/VA single family lending. In the process of developing the office into a major mortgage lender in the Snohomish country area. The monthly gross income for October and November amounted to 36% of the total income year to date and the net income for the two-month period more than doubled the net income for the year.

11/98 - 8/00 - Management Consultant -Boyd Real Estate Investments, Seattle, WA

Management Consultant/Senior loan officer of a local and privately funded commercial lender. Loans of all types for business use. My primary responsibly in addition to origination is revamping the company's procedures and practices to increase productivity and streamline the credit approval processes.

01/98 - 11/98 - Senior Loan Officer - WMF Huntoon Paige, Seattle, WA

Senior loan officer for the Western Region. (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska. Northern California) for the largest multi-family Fannie Mae and HUD lender in the country. Loans on apartment buildings, office buildings, retail centers, nursing homes, ranging in size from 1-20 million. Responsible for loan origination, the review and evaluation of operating statements, budgets, financial statements and the determination of loan amounts and documentation and credit packaging requirements from application to closing. Washington Mortgage Financial Services is the parent company of WMF Huntoon Paige and the company is the largest originator of Fannie Mae and HUD commercial loans in the nation.

Consulting work with local mortgage companies and banks wishing to establish commercial asset-based lending activities and assisted in implementing loan processing and hardware/software installations.

07/92 - 05/96 - Vice President - Viking Community Bank, Seattle, WA

Started the mortgage banking and construction lending departments with a local and highly successful community bank. Originated single and multi-family construction and permanent mortgage loans in the greater Seattle area. In addition to full P & L accountably, I was responsible for staffing, training, marketing and origination. Also originated secured and unsecured commercial loans. Established and developed over 20 brokerage relationships with local savings banks and mortgage banking firms. The mortgage loan department out performed the budgeted profitability for 1992 by over 100% helping to put the newly formed bank in the black in less than 6 months. The department's performance exceeded expected income and profit during the balance of my period with the bank.

Managed the mortgage and escrow companies and was responsible for P & L administration, hiring, training and sales/sales management. Portfolioed and brokered Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and FHA/VA loans as well as making construction/land development loans on single family and multi-family commercial projects. With a staff of 18-20 I managed the construction loan department, single-family loan department and Escrow Company. The Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA/VA single-family closings averaged in excess of 360 per year. As a residential and multi-family construction lender my office had as many as 230 active construction loans at any given time. The branch was highly profitable during my period with Continental with a net on gross as high as 48% and an average of 24% net on gross over a 12-year period.

7/75 - 7/78 - Branch Manger - Peoples Mortgage Company, Renton, Tacoma

Three years as a Branch Manager of the Renton and Tacoma Offices. I began in the Renton office and was transferred to Tacoma to improve its performance. Managed the Mortgage and Escrow companies of two highly profitable locations. Construction of 1-4 family dwellings, Fannie Mae, FHLMC, and extensive exposure to FHA and VA lending. Prior to my accepting the position with Continental I was offered the head of Mortgage Lending at Peoples, which was an Executive VP position.

7/72 - 7/75 - Assistant Cashier - Peoples National Bank - Seattle, WA

Three years in People's Management training program, ending with an Assistant Cashier position at the main office in Seattle. Learned all aspects of installment and commercial lending as well as bank operations.

Education/ Affiliations

Washington State University, Pullman, WA. BA in Psychology with a minor in English. Attended numerous Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/VA seminars as well as taking mortgage banking classes in real estate law, construction lending law, underwriting, marketing and sales management. Member of Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association, Washington Mortgage Bankers Association, Washington Mortgage Brokers Association and King County Master Builders Association.
