Journeyman Patternmaker responsible for the production of a wide variety of foundry patterns, core-boxes, master patterns, and shell core boxes.
1981-1990 Dayton Foundry, South Gate, CA
Patternmaker/Supervisor in an iron and steel foundry. Responsible for the production and repair of commercial/industrial patterns in wood, aluminum, and plastic, core boxes, master patterns and molds. Designed and produced gating and risering systems. Made components for water systems, pipe fittings, and irrigation systems, all involving lay-out and checking of castings.
1957-1979 State Foundry, Bucharest, Romania
Journeyman/Supervisor in a state-owned foundry. Provided leadership to a group of 25-35 employees on numerous projects with different levels of complexity and application for various foreign customers. These included: Japan- Produced heavy industrial patterns for Toshiba Corporation; Germany- Produced patterns for diesel engines in cooperation with Mercedes Motors Manufacturing Group.
