EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
1. M. Sc. (Applied Geology) From Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai - June 1988 with 8.1 CPI. The project work was on the paleomagnetism of Deccan trap flows and dykes in and around Murud - Janjira in Raigad dist., Maharashtra.
2. B. Sc (Geology) From University of Mumbai, in June 1986 with First class.
Studied in K. J. Somaiya College of Science, Vidhyavihar, Mumbai.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Presently: Working with Maheshwari Mining Pvt. Ltd., Raniganj, West Bengal, as Deputy Project manager, at Drilling and grouting work for Purulia Pump Storage Scheme, Bagmundi, Purulia, West bengal. The work involves the planning and execution of drilling and grouting works for Main dams (Both upper and Lower dam), Tunnels and Powerhouse. The drilling here involves both percussion and rotary drilling, the grouting is done to a maximum pressure of 20 Kg/cm2, using hydraulic reciprocating pumps and pneumatic packers, to cater to such high grouting pressures. In the lower dam the curtain grouting is through the grouting gallery of height 2.5 m. In the tunnels consolidation and contact grouting is to be carried out.
2002-March 2003
With Sohams foundation Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, in the capacity of project coordinator, involved in the execution of major projects in the field of Geotechnical investigations, Drilling and grouting, soil nailing, Rock anchoring and micropiling.
In the capacity of project In-charge was handling two projects:
1. Conducting pile load test using rock anchors. Initial and routine pile load test for piles for foundation of flyover for L&T ECC Construction group for their Satara-Kolhapur, Package IV near Karad.
2. Geotechnical Investigation for New road in Raigad Dist. For Maharastra PWD. For High cuttings and Bridges.
From 1995 - 2002
2002:
1. Geotechnical investigation, for New Broad gauge line from Kurdwadi to Latur in state of Maharashtra. The work involved drilling of core holes using rotary machines, logging of the soil sample and the rock core for major bridges, tunnels and embankments, and finalization of the Geotechnical report.
2. Rehabilitation of Chakra Bridge near Kundapur, Dist. Udipi, in Karnataka State. This work is for the strengthening of Pier No. 7 of the Chakra Bridge, which has a differential settlement of the cast insitu piles. The rehabilitation is by drilling micropiles at 1.7 m away from the side of the pile cap in a ring, with installation of 6” casing using Odex system of simultaneous casing, and subsequently grouting the borehole with neat cement slurry. Connecting these micropiles with steel sleeves. Dewatering the well thus formed of micropiles and consolidating the strata below by grouting. Filling of the empty portion till top of pile cap with concrete.
2001: handling the work of drilling-grouting and soil nailing for slope stabilization at various sites along the Konkan railway Route.
1 First project at Bordave cutting near Kankawali, by drilling 75mm dia. Vertical holes in two rows and grouting these holes with neat cement slurry, in order to grout the various joints for slope stabilization.
2 The second project was in pink rock cutting near Kankawali, dist. Sindhudurg from Feb 2001 till May 2001 involving drilling of 75 mm dia. horizontal holes, by percussion method till a depth of 6 – 10 m and grouting the hole with an anchor rod placed in the center.
3 From June 2001 till Jan 2002, of similar nature as pink rock cutting, soil nailing at Maxem cuttings in south Goa.
2000 Mainly handling drilling grouting works for earthen dams of Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation around Pune & Satara Dist.
1. The work involved drilling of 57 – 75 m dia percussion holes by top head percussion system, in the COT and grouting the holes with neat cement slurry under varying pressures. The work was carried out at Urmodi, Dhom Balkawadi, Uttarmanad, Bhama Asked .
2. At Nagewadi Dam the irrigation outlet and combined gate well was constructed very poorly and thus there were lot of leakages from week concrete. Carrying out external grouting of the earthen dam by bentonite rectified this problem. Doing chemical grouting from small nozzles fixed at high leakage points rectified the concrete structure.
1995 – 99 In these four years mainly involved in the coordination of small Geotechnical works for various factories, dams and some infrastructure works. Also, Micropiling works for expansion of buildings in Mumbai – Sahitya Sahawas.

From 1992 – 1995
With M/s UNICON as a site engineer, in the field of soil investigation and bore well drilling. Was mainly involved in the handling of project sites of soil investigation for small factories and power plants. Projects of water management by drilling of bore wells and installation of requisite pumps and fixtures.
From 1990 – 1992
With ENVIROFI in the capacity of geologist for handling of environmental impact assessment plans and making of environmental impact data for cement industry. The clients were Larsen & Toubro Cement works, Awarpur and Raipur, and Manikhgarh Cements, Gadchandur.
From 1988 – 1989
Was involved in ground water survey, for bore wells and tube wells in and around Maharashtra. The survey was done using resistivity surveys and geological survey.

1. Drilling technology and mineral exploration, one month summer training, during M. Sc, with Atomic Mineral Development Corporation at Jajhawal mines Dist. Sarguja M.P. (1987)
2. In-house management training at Sohams foundation engineering for project engineers, A 10-day program arranged by the company at various sites for better handling of resources and manpower (1999).
