• Modeling of the component using the 2-D drawing provided from design dept.
• NC code generating the programs for the modeled component using manufacturing application from Unigraphics software
• Checking the NC generated tool path for gouges, excess material, gouge footprint and excess foot print using the Vericut software.
• Drafting the setup sheet of loading of different setups using drafting application from unigraphics.
• Finally releasing the setup sheets & process sheet to the shop floor supervisors
• Interacting with the shop floor supervisors for any technical clarifications required.

# 01 HINDUSTAN JET TRAINER (HJT-36)

Design and Modeling of Structural Components Using UG/iMAN

SKINS & SPINE COVERS.
Skin & Spine Covers are the integral part of the functional system of any aircraft as skin & spine covers are frequently used by the mechanics to access the interior parts of the aircraft. Skin & spine Covers are designed such that area of cutout should be comfortable for a mechanic can put his hand and can carry out his work. Skins are of less thick than covers. I was responsible for modeling & drafting of Skins & covers, providing crimped doublers and rubber padding for Skin & Covers required at different locations in the aircraft.And also my main work was to development of sheet metal TOOLS, HOLDING BLOCKS, FBTs, CONTOUR CHECK TEMPLATES and development blanks for fabrication of sheet metal parts.


SKIN AND STRINGER .
Skin & Stringers form the skeletal structure of the aircraft, which basically provides aerodynamic shape and forms the basic or outer cover for the aircraft. Skin forms the parent structure to hold the stringers and longerons. Stringers and Longerons are riveted to the skin & covers. Stringers are the short supporting structure that run between the stations usually and act as panel breakers. Stringers are usually crimped in nature possessing “zee” section. My responsibilities include creating models & drawing of stringers, skins, providing cutouts in the skins at station 24 of HTJ Aircraft.
And also my main work was to development of sheet metal TOOLS, HOLDING BLOCKS, FBTs, CONTOUR CHECK TEMPLATES and development blanks for fabrication of sheet metal parts.


PROJECT # 02 LIGHT COMBAT AIRCRAFT (LCA)

DRY BAY BRACKETS( LH AND RH )
Drybay brackets are the major structural load carrying member located at CFC (CARBON FIBRE COMPOSITE) wing in LCA aircraft providing the necessary contour and stiffness. Drybay brackets are designed to sustain the calculated concentrated loads acting on the wing. Drybay brackets also carrying pylon attachements These Drybay brackets are providing the necessary support and strength. Bulkheads are machined according to the design intent. The Drybay brackets are machined has to support heavy loads of wing.I used totally six number of setups machine to get the final design requirement. And also my main work was to development of sheet metal TOOLS, HOLDING BLOCKS, FBTs, CONTOUR CHECK TEMPLATES and development blanks for fabrication of sheet metal parts for LCA PROJECTS.

PROJECT # 03 ISRAEL AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY (IAI)

My main work was to development of sheet metal TOOLS, HOLDING BLOCKS, FBTs, CONTOUR CHECK TEMPLATES and development blanks for fabrication of sheet metal parts for IAI PROJECT using CATIA VER 4.2.1.

• Checking the incoming raw material for its size, type of material and its grain direction as per the process sheet given by NC programming department.

• Planning the workloads for various machines depending upon the size of the job, mode of operation 3 Axis /multax , and its priority,
• Stage by stage inspection of semi finished & finished components during machining of various components.
• Giving technical clarification & assisting the operators during machining.
• Interacting with the other departments i.e. NC Programming Dept, Design Dept for clarification of the components machined.
