WORK EXPERIENCE: Working as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Banglore since Jan 2003.
Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) is the powerhouse of the Indian electrical industry. It functions as a center for applied research in electrical power engineering assisting the electrical industry in product development and quality assurance. Project 1 : Adsorption Isotherms and breakthrough curves for Phenol on activated carbon in fixed bed column

Project Description : The Research project brings about the method of determining the adsorption isotherm of aqueous phenol (pollutant) onto activated carbon at different temperature and pH by batch test and analyzing the result using spectrophotometer. A correlation was proposed to predict the relation between volumetric mass transfer coefficients in the liquid phase and flow rate of the Pollutant. The results obtained are useful in designing the adsorption columns to adsorb phenol for industrial scale.
Project 2 : Determination of Carbon Isotope discrimination in plants using Continuous flow Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer (IRMS).
Duration : One Semester-Mini Project according to the 6th sem syllabus.
Year : 2000-2001
Place : GKVK, UAS Campus, Hebbal, Bangalore.
Project Description:The Research project deals with measuring the Carbon Isotope Discrimination (CID) of various plants (Rice,Ragi) using IRMS.CID is directly related to Water use efficiency(WUE) of plants of same species. WUE of plants can be used for identifying best variety of plants, which can grow under scarcity of water.
PAPER PRESENTED:Determination of Carbon-12 Isotope discrimination in plants using continuous flow isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS).
OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS:
1) Technical paper has been presented at National level Technical Symposium held at R.V College of Engineering and SIT Tumkur during 2001,bagged 2nd prize.

3) Has been the active Student Co-ordinator during the College festival Vibhin-2001 and Chethana- 2002, and conducted various events like quiz, debate, Anthyakshari etc.,
