SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

A major part of my career has been spent in different activities releated to Highway construction. mainly Construction of Highway, Supervision, managements & Quality control of the material and its finished product i.e. Embankment, Sub-Grade, Improved Sub-Grade, Sub-Base, Base Coarse, Asphalt Concrete and Cement Concrete. Checking the M.D.D. and C.B.R Value of different materials and proper compaction of different layer as per specification.

I have comprehensive experience in preparation of Mix-design of Asphalt Concrete and Cement Concrete and a thorough knowledge of AASHTO, ASTM, ACI, Asphalt Institute and BS test method/Specification.

I have also knowledge on special condition of contract and FIDIC rule.

I was involved in supervision of highway work in Saudi Arabia (Contractor site Engineer).

Well experienced in Drainage structure work, preparation of shop drawings, Bar-Chart etc.

I am greatly skilled at experienced in Invoice preparation, Escalation Calculation etc.
I am able to do the cost analysis of different items and equipment and its operation cost and the production.

Working with M/S Reza Construction Ltd as Project Director and associated with the following projects.

A) Bituminous Surface Dressing ( DBST ) at Sherpur and Dinajpur under ( RHD)
B) Bituminous Overlay and strengthening work by brick Sub- base & Base Course from Chittagong to Potia & keranirhat to Bandarban about 45 K.M under Roads & Highways Department
C ) Mymensing Town By-Pass Road Project.

From September 1998 to April 2000

Worked with M/S Columbia engineers Ltd as Director and associated with the following projects.

A) Rajshahi Town Protection Project under Bangladesh Water Development Board.
B) Railway Embankment Protection work under Bangladesh Railway (west)

From December 1991 to 15th August 1998

Working with Mir Akhter Hossain Ltd., a very well reputed construction firm of Bangladesh and associated with the following projects :

A) Worked as Project Manager for construction of Road Project named 2nd Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project, (RRMP-II) Contract No.- 4. (Rajshahi-Nawabgonj Road), a joint venture project with Samwhan Corporation of Korea, under Roads and Highways Department having a length of 41.7 KM, contract price of which was Tk. 781,843,336.42 (equivalent to US$18.61 million) from August 1995 to October 1998 and successfully completed the project.


B) Worked as Project Manager in a joint venture project with Samwhan Corporation of Korea and conducted the project named Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project (RRMP-I), Phase-II, Contract No.- 2/1B under Roads and Highways Department having one Prestressed Concrete Girder Bridge, 21 nos. Box culverts and 12 Nos. Pipe Culverts and 22.5 Km Road, cost of the project was Tk.708.00 million (equivalent to US$18.88 million) from March 1993 to July 1995.

C) Worked as Deputy Project Manager in a joint venture project with F.F. Cruz & Co. Inc. of Philippines and conducted the project named Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project in North West Bangladesh RRMP(NW) contract no. 1/1 & 1/2 comprising of 62 KM road work finished with Plant mixed bituminous pavement from Ullapara to Bogra along with construction of Bridges & Culverts at a cost of Tk.988.00 million (equivalent to US$27.00 million) from December 1991 to February 1993.

a) Construction of Teesta River Closure across the Teesta River at Dalia, Rangpur, sponsored by Bangladesh Water Development Board.

& Highways department.

From February 1989 to October 1990

Rendered services as a Resident Engineer in Bangladesh with Engineering Science Inc., a reputed Consulting Firm of Pasadena, California-91109, USA in association with AQUA Consultant (JV).

Associated and successfully completed the project named 5-District Towns Water Supply Project at Bogra & supervise the following projects.

1. Three nos. 1,000,000 litter capacity, Shaft mounted, (24” dia Situ pile foundation) overhead reservoir.
2. 54 KM. Water supply pipe line of different diameter.
3. 12 nos. Deep Tube-wells with Pump House.

From October 1987 to January 1989

Worked with M/S Bangladesh Engineering Services Ltd., Dhaka, Bangladesh as a Technical Director.

Associated and successfully conducted the following projects :

a) Construction of 6v- 5’x6’ RCC Regulator in Poldar no.1 under Satla-Bagda Project, sponsored by Bangladesh Water Development Board.

From March 1985 to August 1987

Worked as a Project Manager cum Technical Manager with M/S Salma Qari Establishment, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Associated and successfully conducted the following projects :

a) Construction of National Highway (Sub-Contract) from Riyadh to Al-Gassim, 50 KM (Part), under Ministry of Communication.
b) Construction of King Fahad Science and Technology University (Sub-Contract) under Ministry of Education.

Associated with construction of Hydraulic Structure for setting up Booster Pumping Plant for irrigation purpose covering 45,000 acres of land, sponsored by Bangladesh Water Development Board and financed by Asian Development Bank in connection with a Irrigation Project namely Meghna-Dhonagoda Irrigation Project located in Chandpur, Bangladesh.
