WORK EXPERIENCE:

Has over eight (8) years work experience in piping design and other related works of Petrochemical Refineries and Petroleum Plants of various types with knowledge in computer software such as Plant Design System (PDS-2D and PDS, MicroStation, AutoCad and AutoPlant 95 system.

Under general supervision of Piping Design Supervisor or Project Piping Engineer, produces drawings and checking of layout in accordance with the latest industry practices, related codes, economics and specific contract requirements. Conducts investigation of functional engineering design problems, devising practical approaches to the problem, formulating plans and solution. Assures that the work performed complies with the accuracy level and time constraints required for the assignment. Provides consultation services as required. Produces and check complex piping plan and layout, piping isometric, sketches, and electronic 3D models for moderate to heavy equipment in accordance with applicable practices, codes, specification, procedures and specific project requirements. Using computer programs and systems produces piping and equipment modeling along subsequent drawing extraction utilizing 3D Plant Design System (PDS) in accordance with the certification proficiency and contract requirements. Develops designs and layouts requiring theoretical and practical design knowledge in a specialized field, including materials and codes, fabrication and construction requirements. Recognizes stress problems. Coordinates interdiscipline, clients and vendor contracts. May assist field forces during construction. Interprets and checks vendor documents. With general supervision, accomplishes assigned tasks within schedule and budgeted hours. Under general supervision, assists in resolving design problems. May act as an instructor in specialized training programs, developing the necessary training materials. Trains others as required. May be required to direct certain activities or act in a supervisory role. Demonstrates problem solving skills and exercises judgment in the implementation of project requirements and Fluor Daniel practices. Develops and checks piping design documents in accordance with project specifications, design parameters, codes and industry practices. Develops and reviews project specifications, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams, and vendor information. Communicates and interfaces with the project design and engineering disciplines. Produces manual/computer layouts and piping drawings. Has a working knowledge of piping materials and is aware of their importance on the overall piping designs. Assists in preparation of estimates, forecasts, and schedules. Knows contract organization and how to research needed information. Checks, back checks and corrects manual/computer drawings and isometrics. Checks other engineering discipline documents and supplier equipment drawings. Develops and updates location control plan. Updates master P&ID and pipe line list. Reports progress to the Project Piping Area/Unit Supervisor. On assignment to the field, supports construction in drawing and specification interpretations, design modification, scheduling, system checkout and testing. Resolve RDB problems, support piping/isogen problems, maintenance on piping systems per project, teach PDS modeling, isogen & pd-draw.

Responsible for the creation of 52 pcs of equipment and over 500 sheets of piping isometric in 3D PDS. Responsible for the checking of 3D-equipment model against certified vendor drawing. Perform isometric checking/comparison against AFC isometric provided by SCP.

7. Pringles Salted Plant - FS12 Project

Responsible for the lay outing of instrument and plant air line for Unloading & Transfer Area. Function as a part-time DAS, responsible for the RFIC’s needed in the project, isometric go-by’s, PDS memos.

8. LHC2 Project

Was assigned to PBB-DOW LHC2 Project doing piping layout and isometric extraction of piperack area, furnace area and two (2) unit areas under hot section of the Ethylene Plant-LHC2. Responsible for all equipment modeling for PBB-DOW LHC2 Project, equipment rages from pump, towers, exchangers to compressors and package units such as lube oil console, dry gas packages and flare packages but not limited to. Function as a back up for Area lead and DAS.

9. Batu Hijau Minong Project

Responsible for the conceptual pipe routing for Reagent area based on approved P&ID's using PDS Piping Designer module. Prepares isometric drawings and piping plan for various areas within the Concentrator area using PD Isogen and Drawing Manager, respectively. Responsible for modeling HVAC equipment’s and ducting using Equipment Designer. Capable of producing transposition drawing based on approved P&ID's and equipment layout's. Able to do take-off's based on ISO's and P&ID's. Capable of checking interference using design review terminals.

Prepares bill of materials for each isometric drawing using the Optical Character Recognition. Responsible for the preparation of welding maps for each isometric drawing. Performs isometric revisions. Checks and calculate all pipe cut length. Resolves any problem encountered during pipe fabrication.

Site responsibilities include initial line checking prior to hydrotesting. Confirms site installation/erection against isometric drawing and P&ID. Performs as-built drawing both isometric and plan view. Performs reinstatement work prior to final inspection of the client. Responsible for the preparation of test packages.
