DESCRIPTION :
Involved as a team member to design and develop a new framework for SunTec’s product TBMS/TBMS-F.
The product currently held by the company needs an application server (IBM Web Sphere). Being a billing and transaction solution provider, the team has found that it can also be made available to certain clients who can’t use application servers or pay for Enterprise components. Hence it has been modified in a way to cater their needs with the help of servers like Tomcat. For the bigger clients Enterprise Java Beans can be provided, if they require.
Other than this it is designed in a way that only the middle layer is made available for the client, which will collect information from other front-end applications with the help of SOAP.

My role as a team member here is to involve in designing and coding java classes for middle layer and coding javascripts and XML parsers.

Rational Rose is used in this project to design the model.


2. SUNTEC’S INTERACTIVE VOICE SYSTEM - SIVS
(INTERACTIVE VOICE RESPONSE SYSTEM – IVRS)

DESCRIPTION :

SIVS is designed to automate the customer interaction activities in any service area / organization. This will replace the manual operation to handle different facilities of public interaction more effectively and will act as an effective tool for the management.

The features of SIVS are:

Initiating calls
Answering calls
Playback of pre-recorded announcements and prompts
Playback of pre-recorded announcements with variable inserts
Recording of voice messages
Playback of voice messages
Transferring calls to another number
Sending Mail
Sending Fax.

The different applications of SIVS Telecom (BSNL) usage

The SIVS will have multiple language option to cater to different customers. The product is compatible with any RDBMS database.

FAULT BOOKING
The fault-booking module includes the following:
Booking of subscriber complaints in the FRS database and giving out a docket number.
Status of the booked complaint – If an active complaint already exists for the dialed number the docket number will be given out.
If the faulty phone number dialed is not active due to some reason, the status will be given out.
Pending fault details – Linemen can access the pending faults allocated to them through the IVRS.
Initial Clearance – The linemen can enter the details of the complaints cleared by them in the FRS database thought IVRS.

BILL ENQUIRY
This option allows the customers to enquire about their outstanding bill details. This feature can be configured to give the current bill details also.

DIRECTORY ENQUIRY
This can be manual or automatic service – In the case of manual service, the call will be transferred to a live agent, who can give out the address details. In the case of automatic service, the text to speech conversion feature will be used to give out the address details.

NUMBER CHANGE ENQUIRY
This option can be used to give the new telephone number in the case of a number change by accepting old number.

WAITING LIST AND ADVICE NOTE ENQUIRY
The waiting list enquiry option provides the facility to know the waiting list position of a customer if he inputs his Registration number. If an advice note has been issued for the dialed registration number the status of the advice note will be given out.

BILL ON DEMAND
This feature allows the customers to get a duplicate bill either through FAX or E-MAIL. The fax number has to be provided as input for the customer to get the bill. In the case of using e-mail, the email id should available in the TRA database.

PAYMENT DETAILS ENQUIRY
The payment details enquiry feature will give out the details of the last payment made by the customer.

PAYMENT REMINDING
This is an outbound call – the system can dial out to the customers and remind them about their outstanding bills. The list of phone numbers to be dialed and the bill details can be stored in a text file or database, which is used to dial out. The status of each call will be updated in a file or database.
There is also a provision to set the call initiation and stopping time so that the call initiation and stopping will be automatic.

Other than Telecom SIVS can be used in other areas also like Railways, Transport, Hospitals, Media, and Entertainment etc

Description :

The Online Machine Room Booking was developed for NIIT Trivandrum 2 Centre for computerizing the Machine Room Booking system of the institution.

The system will enable the student to log on to the site and then book the time slot he needs and also to cancel as well as transfer the booking to some other users.

This site also has a feature, which will monitor whether the student has used the booked slot or was a defaulter.

Site administrator has a page through which he can monitor all the students, block some slots or rooms from student's access. Site Administrator will also be able to unlock the defaulter’s (the student who didn't turn up after booking the slot twice) login locked by the system.
