Project description:
· This project we build a small prototype model of an electrically driven door opening mechanism, which is electronically controlled .The vehicle is fitted with a high frequency infrared beam in the front .The IR senses this beam in receiver mounted on the door and the circuit gets activated.
· The sensing circuit opens the door upwards vertically, permitting the vehicle to be driven in the time of 5 – 10 seconds before the door automatically shuts.
· The circuits is intelligent enough to realize if the vehicle is still under the door – it will remain open till the armed vehicle is completely crossed the door (using the beam breaking technology)
· The door will not open if any other vehicle moves towards the door (the signal cannot be sensed by the receiver), since they do not have the IR transmitter.
