Ø Design and implementation of Gigabit Campus Network using Cisco Catalyst 6500 & 4000 family switches. It was a tier 3 multilayer switching design with layer 2 in the core and layer 3 in the distribution. The first phase consisted of connecting 2 building blocks to the core. Gigabit EtherChannel links were used between distribution-layer switches and core-layer switches. OSPF & HSRP were tuned for fast convergence.802.1Q configured uplinks were used.
Ø Providing pro-active management for the Bank Network infrastructure. This involves monitoring of WAN links using Ciscoworks2000 & MRTG. The WAN links include digital lines, dial-up lines, frame-relay and X.25
Ø Pro-active management for the Internet Banking infrastructure. The infrastructure includes Pix firewall, 4230 Sensors, Unix Director, Cisco HIDS and Private-I.
Ø Configuring, troubleshooting and upgrading Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst based switches
Ø Migrated Xylan switches to Cisco Catalyst 6500s in the backbone and 3550s on the floors. OSPF & HSRP were tuned for fast convergence. 802.1Q encapsulation was used on trunk ports.
Ø Working knowledge of mainframe connectivity, DLSw and IBM 2216 router.
