Responsible for various QA / QC systems and implementation in various Refineries and Petrochemical plants, which including preparation of QA/QC Plan, Inspection & test plan, WPS&PQR, Welder Qualification, Coordination with NDT such as radiography testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particles testing, dye penetrate test inspection, sandblasting and coat wrapping inspection, stress relieving, thickness measurement test, hydrostatic testing, painting inspection, etc.
Presently working at Yanbu Area for Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant at Yanbu for Royal Commission
The work of this Contract includes the engineering, design, procurement, Manufacturing, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, training and providing operation and maintenance services necessary for the establishment and satisfactory operation of one 1400 m3/h Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plant. This project hereafter specified as Desalination Unit No. RO-1 will be located at the Madinat Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah (MYAS) Power, Desalination and Seawater Cooling (PD&SC) complex in accordance with the Contract documents. The work includes but is not limited to the following works:
2100 m3/h Desalination Unit No. RO-1 consisting of Six (6) 350 m3/h RO trains including pre-treatment equipment, high pressure pumps with energy recovery turbines, RO modules, post treatment equipment, chemical storage and feed systems, and distributed control system (DCS) based instrumentation, control and Communication systems. The DCS shall be manufactured by Elsag-Bailey Hartmann & Braun (EBH&B) Company. Integration into and interfaces with existing utilities, systems and facilities shall be provided.

Worked as an In-Charge, QA/QC for the following Major Projects / Turnarounds:
1. Expansion of Chlorine and Pigment Plant for Cristal at Yanbu:
Supervision of 3 separate contracts from Simon Carves, civil, structural and mechanical, electrical and instrumentation partly on EPC (civil / structural) and partly on construction project (mechanical / electrical and instrumentation),
Warehouse contract for Cristal at Yanbu: Full EPC project being executed for client (Cristal two large fast track warehouses, supervision of sub-contract engineer and control of procurement and construction through site management.
2. Retubing and T&I Works on Steam Boilers (F45) 5332, B-151, and B-153 at Saudi Aramco Rabigh Refinery.
The Major Scope is as follows:
s Tube Replacement of Steam Boilers B-151 and B-153. (generating banks, Superheater, dividing and boiler outside walls).
s Replace the economizer tubes of B-151 and B-153.
s Replacement of existing Burners.
s Redesign, replace and/or repair Mud Drum refractories for all Boilers.
s Apply external protective coating to all drum and header surface as needed.
s Testing and commissioning assistance.
3. Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (Sasref) – OPA Major Turnaround – March 2003
Turnaround and inspection of 91 - heat exchangers, 47 - Fin fan coolers, 16 – Columns, 11 – Furnaces, 5 – Reactors 14 - Tanks, 72 – Vessels, 24 – Valves, among other stationary equipment and huge quantity of defects job in Aromatic Unit. Shutdown duration was 17 days.
4. SAMREF – March-April 2002 Major T/A.
Turnaround and inspection of 68 - heat exchangers and Catalyst Replacement for 42 Reactors. (28 Days).
5. Saudi Aramco Yanbu Refinery – Overhauling Of Heat Exchangers, Vessels – January – 2002
The turnaround scope involved overhauling of 24 Exchangers, 22 Vessel / Columns and 16 Fin Fan Coolers during T&I Project.
6. Saudi Aramco - Bulk Plant Modernization Project (From 1999 to 2001)
The Scope of Works includes, but not limited to the Procure, deliver, fabricate, install, construct, test, commission for the following plants:

Al-Jouf Bulk Plant Qatif LPG Bulk Plant
Safaniyah Bulk Plant Al-Hasa Bulk Plant

7. Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (Sasref) – Opc Turnaround – 1999
Turnaround and inspection of 13 – columns, 59 – vessels, 64 – heat exchangers, 49 – Fin fan coolers, 132 – Safety Valves, 80 Control valves, 35 Remote Operated valves and various miscellaneous equipment in Hydrocracker, Fractionators and Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit and associated utilities. Also involved was Catalyst Change out of one hydrocracker furnace. The job also involved major plant modification works involving replacement of carbons steel pipe works with Chrome – Moly pipe work (P5) to the extent of 250 tons of pipes. The work was completed in 17 days time. Peak Manpower = 950.
8. Kemya Expansion Project - Outside of Battery Limits (OSBL) Utilities (1998 – 1999)
s Installation of FRP Underground Sea Water Supply and return lines (Approx. 3.5 Km) including installation of sluice gates at Royal Commission Corridor. Max dia of piping 2M.
s Installation of Utility and Sewer Lines throughout the Plant.
s Installation of Sea Water Pumps and associated Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation work.
s Installation Electrical Equipment in various sub-stations and installation of associated Electrical, Instrumentation and Fiber Optic Communication Cables throughout the plant.
s Testing and Pre-commissioning of the Entire System.
