SOME MAJOR PROJECTS

COMPUTERIZATION OF PAY & ACCOUNTS OFFICE

The Pay & Account Office is the controlling cell for various Assam Govt. Departments treasury bills. Such bills could be related to salary, work, contingent etc. It has got bill and cheque sections. It has to maintain registers of employees, budgets, bills passed, cheque issued etc. Also it has to generate monthly reports about the head wise expenditure. For all of these, software is being developed for Pay & Account Office, Govt. of Assam.

Environment : Windows 98, Visual Basic 6.0 (Front end), Oracle 8.0 (back end).

SHAPE FEATURE EXTRACTION AND SHAPE SIMILARITY MATCHING

This Software was developed completely on Assamese culture and basically for non-Assamese or non-Indian. It was developed in Tezpur Central University and purpose was to know details of everything about Assamese instruments, which are used in cultural side. It is widely helpful for non-Assamese people. In this software any type of irregular shape can be drawn. If we draw simply the outline of an instrument, this software gives the details of that instrument along with the solid picture.

LEAVE MONITORING SYSTEM

To keep track of the leaves taken by the employees in Concept-A-India, Guwahati Unit (Assam), a database was designed and for which data entry & query modules were developed. In query module, it shows the employees in leave at present, no. of days of a leave left for an employee etc.

Environment: Windows NT 4.0, Visual Basic, MS-Access.

DOCUMENT HANDLING SYSTEM

To keep track of the incoming and outgoing letters in Tezpur Central University, Tezpur (Assam), a database was designed and for which data entry and query modules were developed. In data entry module, it allows to enter the complete profile of a letter. In query module it shows the list of letters with the different attributes wise like date, person to whom it was marked etc.

HOSPITAL INFORMATION SYSTEM

To keep track of the details of patient, Out Patient Department(OPD), In Patient Department(IPD), Pharmacy details, etc.

TEA BROKERS INFORMATION SYSTEM

To keep track of details of Tea exported, Gardens in Assam, Amount that sold, Prices, Income, Loss, CTC Leaf, CTC Dust, Report of details of the year, etc.

HOTEL INFORMATION SYSTEM

To keep track of details of Rooms, Food, House keeping, Customers, Telephone Bills, Laundry, etc. After a customer has vacated the room his/her details can be found from the software, even telephone bill also.

DOT WEB SITE

This website contains the Complete Information Of Tezpur Central University. Online form fill up facility, online form receiving facility, etc. Various options for information searching have also been provided.

Map based search - Here, the user can navigate through the Map of Tezpur University and click at the proper location and get information about the various courses.

General Search - Here the user can put the item in search box and get the details of that item.

AREA VALIDATION OF LAND RECORD

Developed a SW for the Department of Land Revenue, Govt. of Assam, Guwahati. The SW finds a particular record and allows to modify the different attributes like area, etc.

MAINTENANCE INFORMATION SYSTEM

Developed an application for maintenance of different computers and equipment in Aptech Ltd, Guwahati (Assam). This involves recording of m/c down-time and visiting of service engineers. It involves data entry, query and report modules.

Environment: Windows 98, JAVA 1.2, JDBC, SWING, and MS ACCESS.

Besides these Software’s, Some others Software’s Like Library Information System (LibSys), Stock Information System (SIS), Purchase Information System(PIS), etc. have been developed and all the Software’s are implemented successfully. Presently different Organizations, Hospitals, Hotels, etc. are using these Software’s.
