Responsible for creation, maintenance of Digilog regional databases, lead the sizing and capacity planning exercises and manage database security
Database management, backup, recovery, performance monitoring, tuning and technical problem solving is a key aspect of the incumbent’s responsibility
Capacity planning, making sure that database server is running at its optimum capacity

Must be technically competent in Sybase Database
Knowledge in UNIX Shell scripting is advantageous
At least 3-5 years experience in database administration and design
Proficient in Sun Solaris and WIN NT
Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or its equivalent
