JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose:
Perform all repairs and service work on motor vehicles, light and heavy equipment.
Perform all mechanical engine and engine related repairs as well as the preventive maintenance service works on diesel generators and diesel engines for fire water pumps and air compressors.

Principal Accountabilities:
a) Maintain and upkeep a fleet of motor vehicles including motor cycles, cars, buses, trucks and mini vans.

b) Maintain heavy duty equipment including forklifts, D-8 Caterpillar Bulldozer and Grove 80 ton hydraulic mobiles crane.

c) Maintain the main power generation train of Caterpillar diesel generators (1.8 MW).

d) Maintain Deutz diesel engines generator (60 & 350 KW).

e) Maintain diesel engines for fire water pumps, air compressors and diesel/gasoline engines for portable pumps.

f) Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts requests/lists for all mentioned equipment.

g) General keep-up of the vehicle maintenance shop and heavy equipment park area.

h) Prepare daily reports, trouble shooting reports and keep proper equipment history.

Minimum requirements:
a) Completion of Secondary Technical education (12 years) plus a diploma of a recognized vocational training courses in Mechanical Engineering.

b) 10 years experience on diesel engines. Generators. Preferable Caterpillar, diesel engines for firewater pumps and light/heavy duty vehicles/equipment (cars, forklifts and cranes)

Long term contract as per Daily Rates for H1 and H2 categories.
