Minimum Requirements:

· B.Sc Degree in Mechanical or control engineering(or equivalent) qualification.

· Diploma in Material and Stores Management.

· Good knowledge of the computerized materials management system followed in the company.

· 8 years work experience in the petro-chemical/Oil & Gas Industry in the area of Materials Engineering with minimum 3 years in warehouse management.

Job Description

· Develop and maintain an inventory management system and oversee the implementation of the system via detailed procedures that ensures optimum holding of stock of material

· Define the data requirement for the computerized material management system, and maintain the data for unique identification and informative classification.

· Define the levels of stock based on vendor recommendation the company experience.

· Work with procurement to ensure stock replenishment is done on time.

· Analyse the material management and adjust the safety level, re-order level, maximum level and economic re-order level.

· Carryout the ABC analysis and give recommendation accordingly.

· Review the SCAD’s (Stock Creation, Amendments & deletion) raised by end users to make the necessary entries into the materials management system.

· Leads a team for internal auditing of the stock holdings.

· Ensures that preservation procedures for Insurance Spare are in place and followed up.

· Check slow moving items and co-ordinates with end users for possible obsolescence or surplus.

· Review the correct utilization of the materials management system and assists end users where necessary.

· Works closely with warehouse personal to optimise the warehousing functions.

· Provides support and advise in specification for new material to be stocked.
