Job Title : Mechanical Engineer - Offshore

Salary Range :

· Salary range from US$ 36,000/- to US$ 45,000/- per annum.

Minimum Requirements:

· Maximum age 45 years.

· B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

· 8-1 0 years experience in jobs related maintenance of rotating & static equipment etc.

· Good practical knowledge of gas turbine engine and conventional mechanical facilities and fluent in English.

Scope of Duties:

· Supervises mechanical engineering and maintenance, commissioning and repair activities of mechanical equipment and facilities on CPC and WHPS.

· Acting as UA Site Team Leader during the absence of UA Site Team Leader to ensure all the activities of the Field in a safe manner and in compliance with routine & emergency procedures.

· Preparation of Annual & Long term plans for mechanical repair, overhaul, corrosion prevention, painting and maintenance of a wide variety of plant and equipment.

· Ensures that work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company standards, codes and practices.

· Diagnoses faults or malfunctioning equipment, inform UA Site Team Leader and carries out repair or maintenance tasks as required.

· Responsible for the development of preventive and routine maintenance schedules, ensuring that all maintenance is carried out during planned shutdowns and that all standby units are fully operational.

· Reviews work orders and determine maintenance and repairs priorities in consultation with related sections. Prepares detailed work programmes of preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment, in conjunction with the other sections and units in UA Field.

· Supervises the activities of assigned technicians in mechanical maintenance unit according to company maintenance procedures and schedules, and ensures that work objectives and programmes are implemented.

· Monitors stock level of spare parts, tools and materials at CPC and WHPs and initiates requisitions to material section in Abu Dhabi and Zirku as required. Follow up on requisitions to ensure timely delivery. Recommend changes to stock level depending on work requirements. Initiates all materials and spare parts requisitions.

· Ensures that records in MAXIMO are adequately maintained for all normal breakdown and overhaul maintenance carried out in the section. Prepares daily and monthly work progress reports.

· Produces specialized reports, as required, such as recommendations for improvement of maintenance procedures, modification to plant and equipment. Evaluation of contractors' visit reports.

· Provides technical advice on all aspects of mechanical and rotating facilities. Proposes improvements and modifications to units which are malfunctioning or working below required performance level.

· Prepares and follow-up Performance Level Agreement, Annual Budget.
