Requirements :
1) A Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
2) At least 3 years of relevant experience in DB/2 database administration and technical support on OS/390 mainframe environment.
3) Hands-on experience on Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning and Migration of Enterprise databases.
4) Must be able to conceptualize and implement Security policies and Space Management.
5) Experience in Formulation and Implementation of a backup and Recovery Strategy.
6) Scripting experience preferred.
7) Database migration experience will be beneficial.
8) Good communication and inter-personal skills.

Job Duties :
1) To administer and maintain existing DB/2 RDBMS.
2) To perform database and systems performance tuning, capacity planning and database maintenance.
3) To support new systems implementations.
4) To provide technical support to Application Developers and end-users.
5) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt, diagnose and rectify database/systems related problems.
6) To evaluate and recommend new releases and fix requirements
7) To carry out documentation for changes or new implementations
