JOB DESCRIPTION :
Team member of Internal Network Support Group in Singapore Main Technical Centre provides 2nd levelTechnical Support to Editorial & Media Network Infrastructure and Clients, by means
of Hardware / Software Installations / Upgrades, Change Implementations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
a) Diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner. Document proceduresand handle escalations as needed.
b) Partner with other groups and counter parts in order to resolve complex technical problems.
c) Ensure compliance with Company's policies and guidelines.
d) Maintain an excellent level of technical and product expertise to deliver the technical support services to demanding Internal Clients.
e) Provide 24 x 7 oncall / onsite support.
f) Perform other assignments requested by the manager.
REQUIREMENTS :
a) An Engineering Degree with min 5 years or an Engineering Diploma with min 7 years of relevant IT Experience with a proven experience of Network and Systems Support Role.
b) In-depth Technical knowledge of the following is essential:
* Operating Systems : UNIX (particularly Sun Solaris) operating systems, Microsoft Windows (WIN95/98,NT,W2k) with Multi Language (Chinese versions) Support
* Networking & Security
* TCP/IP Concepts, Firewall Products, Industry Standard
* Network Products with Routing, Switching and VPN
* Technologies for Cisco, Raptor, Radware Products
* Server Applications and Client Products
* Oracle Database Admin, Web Servers, Microsoft Applications , Perl Scripting, Desktops/Laptops,
c) Exposure to Financial products and services and Industry Standard Certifications are very much encouraged.
d) Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems.
e) Good Written / oral Communication skils, Professional manner, innovative, creative, dependable, punctual, self-motivated and able to work efficiently and responsibly with minimum
supervision.
