Financial Sector company seeks systems and application professional. Individual must have demonstrable experience in migration planning from proprietary Operating Systems towards Linux and an awareness of Market Data distribution applications.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of recent full time Linux/Solaris System Administration experience
Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
Ability to support a 24 by 7 environment Including the knowledge and ability to
access global systems from remote connections.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have exposure to Tibco, Triarch and Market Data distribution technologies
Must be aware of current Database technologies, Sybase, Oracle, Informix
Must understand and be able to apply all concepts of system administration, management, and performance tuning
Knowledge of migration issues between Solaris and Linux
Full understanding of how to use tools for monitoring and maintenance
Strong organizational/project management skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Highly reliable, self-starter with excellent judgment
Successful candidates will have recent, relevant experience, a solid business education, and excellent communication skills. Fluency in Japanese would be a major plus.
