Job Specs
Title : SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER
Position : Permanent
Job Description: He should be able to understand business requirements of a product and respond to the needs of the organization. Should be able to prepare validation test plan for a product. Must understand the underline rules of the product behavior, should be clear about s/w interface standard. Must be able to refer to the interface standard. Must be able to act as an intelligent customer while carrying out the testing. Must look for new trends for s/w testing and introduce whatever is feasible as a working practice. Try to perform white box testing on some of the testing activity.Should be a Team Player and exposure to CMM is desirable . Provide support to marketing / production department for initial phase of s/w release.
Key skills: He should be able to reproduce test observation whenever needed in the future. The record keeping should be systematic so that someone else can understand the test observation. Should be able to teach concepts to others.Understanding & application of Black box testing & white box testing.Good written & verbal communication skill. Exposure to any one structured programming language is desirable but not essential and should have 3-8 years of experience.
Education: Graduation / Diploma in Electronics/ Computer Sc/ Electrical Engineering with exposure to the s/w engineering.
