3PAR Utility Storage solutions allow organizations to:

Simplify the consolidation and centralization of information.
Reduce the cost of purchasing, deploying, and managing storage.

As Director of Asia Pacific Sales you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within the enterprise and service provider market space, qualifying and negotiating new contract deals and managing new development partners in the Asian markets. Utilizing a broad understanding of information technology and an in-depth understanding of 3PAR's technology, the director will identify and articulate the advantages of integrating third party applications with 3PAR technology to produce enhanced solutions. This will be accomplished by collaborating with other internal functions such as sales, channels, marketing, legal, product management and engineering. Additionally, the Director will also collaborate with the partner's business development, legal, and engineering staff to finalize development agreements as appropriate.

Core responsibilities will include: drive the channel distribution partners to meet assigned revenue goals; develop new channel partners when and where appropriate; and focus initially on Japan. Japan success will enable 3PAR to expand into other Asia Pacific territories.

Requirements: Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent and 10+ years of relevant sales/business experience in information technology with a track record of increasing responsibility and success. Technical degree and MBA preferred. Must have the ability to identify and recruit vendor partners, build the framework for each new partnership with regards to all aspects of 3PAR's business and to successfully manage the overall relationship; driving new business and new integration efforts with these partners. Demonstrated ability in handling all aspects of client relationships, including contract negotiation and direct sales is required as well as strong understanding of business practices in Asia. Ability to work cross-functionally, in a matrix environment and fluent in Japanese is a must. Experience selling large storage systems a big plus!

This individual can be based in either Japan or in the Bay Area, California.
