Our client, located in the Southeastern United States, manufactures packaging machinery including packers, uncasers, and accumulating equipment. They need a Field Service Engineer for Japan and other parts of Asia. The ideal candidate may already have 5 years experience as a Field Service Technician or Engineer, have excellent mechanical and electrical skills and be able to trouble shoot Programmable Logic Controllers. He must speak Japanese and English and be willing to live in Japan; ideal locations would be Tokyo or Osaka. The Field Service Engineer will be expected to have very good interpersonal skills so he can communicate well with all levels of management - both on the customer side and the company side. He must be able to work independentlyand be willing to travel extensively. The Field Service Engineer will go through an extensive training program in the US. Our client is a privately owned company that is one of the premier manufacturers of packaging machinery in the US. They employ 350-400 worldwide and have annual sales in the $50-60 million range.
