This position reports to the Senior Director of Anti-Piracy and the APAC VP.
Summary
The role of the Anti-Piracy Manager, APAC, is to recover Macromedia revenue lost to piracy and other violations of our intellectual property and licensing. The position will be responsible for taking direct and campaign action directed at underlicensed customers, working closely with the regional sales teams, and coordinating activities with several trade associations.
Responsibilities
· Management of anti-piracy activities throughout APAC region.
· Responsible for driving direct revenue from underlicensed customers through personal, trade association, or law firm contact.
· Driving indirect revenue through broad-based marketing and educational campaigns that are also intended to create broad deterrence.
· Coordinate closely with APAC sales team to identify specific problem areas and vertical markets and to serve as a training resource to assist sales teams in scaled campaigns.
· Maximize return on BSA investment through close monitoring of and coordination with local and regional counsel; directly participate in BSA marketing campaigns.
· Establish programs to deal with fraud, including but not limited to academic license abuse, gray market activity, upgrade abuse, and royalty underreporting.
· Provide accurate and timely metrics on anti-piracy recoveries.
Requirements:
· 4-year college degree.
· Minimum of two years intellectual property-related or law enforcement experience.
· Demonstrated ability to work within a sales organization.
Ideal:
· Law degree.
· Corporate sales experience.
· Multimedia and internet/web experience.
· Ability to speak multiple languages.
