Job Description:

The Regional Technical Sales Application Engineer will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and motivating a team of highly skilled technical sales professionals. You will be responsible for coordinating all technical sales activity within the region, including strategy, pilots, prototypes, demonstrations, training, and more. You must have a proven track record of assembling a winning pre-sales team and exceeding quota, by providing technical and managerial leadership in the sales process. Your primary goal is to team with the Regional Sales Manager to drive business through the pipeline. The position reports to the Director of Technical Sales.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelors degree.
  
• Sales and Marketing acumen. For example, customer needs analysis, product positioning, gap analysis, and business justification.
  
• 5 years technical sales management experience, preferably selling enterprise client/server or web application software.
  
• Working knowledge in all of the following areas: Window 98/NT and/or UNIX, Microsoft NT SQL or Oracle, programming with Java/JavaScript, HTML or any programming language.
  
• Webserver installation and administration.
  
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentations skills.
  
• Willingness to travel about 35% of the time.
  
• Become the owner of one or more key business processes of Demand Planning, and be the lead Engineer in your area.
  
• Self-motivated with a high degree of personal organization and attention to detail, excellent leadership and proven background of creating and executing plans to drive revenue.
  
• The candidate MUST be multilingual and fluent in both Japanese and English and must live in Japan.
