Hello, a great client of mine in Austin, TX is seeking mid to senior level
ASIC Design Engineers. They are a fabless semiconductor company, and a
leading developer of innovative IC and software solutions for digital video
distribution over wired and wireless networks.
They are pioneering semiconductor and software solutions to create
breakthroughs in the distribution of multimedia content in tomorrow's home
and office environments. The Company's innovative gateway and transmission
solutions work in unison to provide a unified solution for the most
challenging video, voice and data networking applications.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining their digital design
methodology and infrastructure, and developing the company's digital IC
products while participating in chip definition, implementation, debugging
and product qualification.
The successful candidate shall have a BSEE or equivalent (MSEE is strongly
preferred) have 4+ years of industry experience designing digital ASIC
components, specifically in the areas of audio/video, communication, embedded
processor, and standard bus interface. Hands-on experience with behavioral
modeling, simulation, design synthesis, timing closure, and revision control
is required. Specific knowledge of MPEG, DSP, OFDM and encryption and
experience in conditional access is strongly preferred.
The candidate should be fluent with C, Matlab, Verilog / VHDL. Knowledge of
digital design tools like VCS, Design Compiler, PrimeTime, LSF, FastScan and
ModelTech is preferred. You should also be very comfortable with a
script-base design environment.
