I am an independent recruiter. A great client of mine, who specializes in motion and control products, is seeking a Product Design Engineer for their Glendale, CA office. I hope this position will be of some interest to you. Here is more information about the company and the position:

They have been in business since 1952 and have more than 250 employees company-wide. Their extensive product selection includes motors, drives,
sensors, encoders, relays, switches, clutches, timers, PLCs, photoelectrics, positioning tables and various other motion control products. They also offer value-added services at the customer’s request including special enclosures, panel assembly and other custom requirements.

PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER
They are seeking someone with experience in drives and power control to be responsible for the product design, component engineering and specification,
improvement of existing designs, compliance, and documentation. You will work with a great team of engineers, technicians, sales people, and specialists to deliver custom-designed AC and DC drives. You will
ultimately be in charge of creating the hardware
concept plans and models as well as supporting on-going component change requests from customers. Up to 25% travel.

The requirements: They require an electrical engineering degree for this incredible growth opportunity. Sorry, but a mechanical engineering degree DOES NOT apply. They also require experience PCB LAYOUT & DESIGN and EMBEDDED PROGRAMMING experience is a big plus as well as working knowledge
of C or C++. They are seeking someone with a desire to grow and succeed.

The following are requirements/experience you must fulfill in order to be considered for this position.
Three years experience with:
·AC or DC Drive circuit design
·AC or DC Drive circuit simulations
·Analog design
·Power control circuit design
·Printed Circuit Board design
·"Mixed signal" circuit design
·Programming knowledge with Digital Signal Processors (DSP's) or motion
control chips
·Circuit test design
·Ability to troubleshoot customer applications and recommend improvements
