First, I would thank you for expressing interest in joining our
corporation. E.F.T. is a fast growing corporation that has been in business for over 6 years. One of the main reasons why our corporation is growing is because our system has been designed with both the student’s and teacher’s interests in mind. I have personally developed a working environment that is straight forward or if you will, a “2 way street”. How so? Our teachers work an average of 44-46 weeks a year but receive a guaranteed salary 48-52 weeks per year. While I am sure you may find 2 months paid holiday attractive, we do not just hand it out. If you plan on being in Japan for more than 1 year and are willing to work “with” us during the kindergarten school year , then E.F.T. may be for you. Here are some more details that will hopefully aid you in deciding whether or not you would like to proceed further.
Semi Full Time Position Details:
1) A teacher shall receive a guaranteed monthly salary, regardless
of whether or not a kindergarten cancels a scheduled day or
schedules less than 4 days a month, every month except
August.
2) While the salary depends on which kindergarten a teacher is
assigned as well as the total number of scheduled hours,
the minimum teaching hourly wage is 2,500 yen. Furthermore, the minimum daily wage is 10,000 even if a day consists of less than 4 teaching hours at a kindergarten that does E.F.T.’s Daily Value Set. Taking this into account, our teachers earn
between 3,500-10,000 an hour. An E.F.T. day is
generally from 10:00-5:00 with a limit of 5 teaching hours per day.
3) A teacher receives 5% of the private class tuition. This bonus is based on a teacher’s overall performance both in and out of the classroom. Payable upon completion of a 1 year contract.
4) A teacher shall receive 1,000 yen for every student that joins
the private classes as a direct result of the teacher. This bonus
is payable 2 months after a student joins.
