Job Description=Network Architect: (TCP/IP Architect) Our client is one of the leading semiconductor companies providing the foundational elements of today's and tomorrow's network infrastructure products. Their products are the building blocks of an integrated network that carries broadband, audio, video, and data from sender to receiver at ever-increasing speeds.This person will report to the VP of Engineering and have responsibility for the architecture of their new line of access packet-based products. In addition, this person will contribute to systems architecture decisions across all of our products. This person will also manage a small group of very senior technical contributors representing each group within the Broadband Infrastructure Systems business unit. Qualifications: BSEE or equivalent and 5-10 years experience in architecting and developing internetworking products. The candidate must have proven expertise and knowledge in the following areas: TCP/IP protocols, IETF standards activities, Internetworking (bridging and routing), Layers 2, 3 and 4 forwarding techniques, LAN and WAN networking technologies (Ethernet, Frame Relay, Packet, over SONET and ATM), Routing protocols, Firewall technology, Virtual Private Networks, Voice processing, Class of service and quality of service, Traffic flow classification, HW/SW tradeoffs and interaction.
