Job description= Westborogh, Ma Product Manager/Product Line Manager-Packet Processing Solutions. We are the, the Internet Infrastructure business of our parent company, and they are one of the leading semiconductor companies providing the foundational elements of today's and tomorrow's network infrastructure products.Our products are the building blocks of an integrated network that carries broadband, audio, video, and data from sender to receiver at ever-increasing speeds.This person will report to the Product Line Manager and have responsibility for defining the packet processing solutions specifications and architecture. These solutions will include networking processing and classification chip sets, firmware applications like IP forwarding and MPLS as well as host system software definition and control plane integration. Product features will be communicated to engineering and will be defined based on customer input, market demands and trends.This person will also be responsible for managing the overall product life cycle, interfacing with engineering, support, sales channels, operations and customers. Product positioning responsibility will include presenting to press and at industry trade shows. Additional responsibilities will include forecasting and securing design wins to grow the business.Qualifications: BSEE or equivalent and 5-10 years experience in product management of IP service delivery internetworking products (silicon, software and systems), The candidate must have proven expertise and knowledge in the following areas:MPLS, TCP/IP protocols, DiffServ, IPSec, Layers 2, 3 and 4 forwarding techniques, Class of service and quality of service,Traffic flow classification, Routing protocols, Virtual Private Networks, Internetworking (bridging and routing), LAN and WAN networking technologies, Ethernet, Frame Relay, Packet over SONET, ATM.
