JOB DESCRIPTION
This expert in telecommunications networks will lead SignalSoft Japan's technical and product installation efforts.
- Integrate SignalSoft software with the software supplied by SignalSoft’s major Japanese partner
-Analyze/develop requirements for product configuration, product enhancement, and product deployment, working closely with the Japanese partner and wireless network operator customers, other channel partners, and the following departments at SignalSoft's U.S. headquarters: product management, sales engineering, and product development
- Provide feedback to the product marketing and systems engineering areas on product capabilities and customer requirements
- Participate in sales, generating and closing business for the account managers using his/her skills in technical presentation
The Sales Engineer will receive extensive training at corporate headquarter in beautiful Boulder, CO.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in technical sales support or software systems configuration/installation with a software systems vendor in the field of IN (intelligent network) for telecommunications companies, ISPs or ASPs
- Experience providing 2nd or 3rd level customer support of telecom products used by fixed or mobile network operators
- Experience in responding to RFIs and RFPs from telecommunications network operators
- Working knowledge of Lucent WIN, Advantage SCP, Compaq INS, Telecordia ISCP, SUN UNIX
- Demonstrable knowledge of ANSI-41, GSM, ARIB, 3G network architectures, signaling, network elements and related telecommunications industry standards
SS7, WAP, WIN, TCP/IP or at least XML/WML knowledge
- 5+ years experience with a telecommunications infrastructure vendor such as Hitachi, Fujitsu, NEC, Lucent, Nortel, Motorola, Compaq, Telcordia
- English proficiency – perfect English is not required, however, candidate must be sufficiently confident in English communication skills such that he/she can and will communicate freely in English
- Experience working with the following software: PowerPoint, Visio, MS Word, Excel, Project
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree at a major university, preferably in a technical field
