This role is specifically for the Japan market but you will also be required to assist outside of Japan in the rest of the Asia Pacific region. You are either willing to relocate to Tokyo, Japan or are a current resident. Fluent English language skills are essential.
In this role, you will be the technical expert when it comes to Mainframe Integration and our Client’s products, technologies and solutions. As such, you will share your technical knowledge with internal staff and partner organisations through presentations, demonstrations and mentoring. You will also operate in a presales capacity at times, to provide sales support on strategic accounts.
Today, you have at least 5 years experience working with Mainframes and corporate IT departments, with specific skills in IMS, CICS, VTAM, SNA and 3270. You understand mainframe integration technologies such as 3270 screen scraping, database queries, batch processing, MQ Series and perhaps know how to integrate with Mainframes. Basic working knowledge of Java or COM is needed, as occasional use will be required in this role. An understanding of mainframes such as Fujitsu, NEC, Hitachi would be a distinct advantage.
Overall, you have great analytical and project management skills with excellent technical knowledge and operational experience. You are able to provide leadership in this technology segment and have a strong selling and marketing background. A willingness to travel on a regular basis is essential.
