Sales & Marketing Manager
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN TOKYO
Key contributions of this position:
The Business Development Manager is expected to direct the relationship and activities of our Companys Japanese business. The person hired for this position is expected to evolve into the President/General Manager of Brooktrout Technology's Japan direct operation.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Determine and implement the companys Japanese sales and marketing strategies for the product lines of the various divisions
Identify, win, and develop new strategic partnerships and OEM accounts. Maintain a close, knowledgeable working relationship with clients.
Cultivate a network of industry contacts to increase industry and competitive information sources. Assist in the development of pricing models for products distributed in Japan.
Provide information to companys Product Management and Engineering about Japanese market requirements
Maximize sales through direct channels by provide sales training to partners, arranging technical conferences and seminars in Japan and in the United States at major trade shows such as CT Expo. Make certain that the direct sales force has the knowledge and skills to perform at a high level.
Work with the companys non-Japanese customers to introduce their products and services to the Japanese market
Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Education Requirements:
BS or equivalent degree required. Business or marketing focus preferred.
Prior Work Experience:
5 years experience in the Japanese telecommunications industry. Contacts with major Japanese OEMs and telecommunications carriers such as NTT, KDD, Japan Telecom, DDI, IDO, etc. Experience marketing and selling imported hardware and software preferred.
