Accounting Manager(Tokyo)-Based in Tokyo, base salary
to $125,000 USD plus bonus. Dominant "buy-side"
financial services firm needs a strong bilingual
(Japanese/English)Accounting Manager to: oversee,
maintain and coordinate all Japanese accounting
operations; develop and maintain framework for
accounting and reporting; review of month-end work
and financial reporting (including intercompany
transactions) and coordination with New York corporate
accounting headquarters. Specific responsibilities
include: manage interim and year-end reporting for
Japan companies; manage international accounting
systems, ensuring data feeds conform to corporate
accounting standards; perform analyses requested by
corporate headquarters and perform special projects on
an "as requested" basis.
The ideal candidate will have: Japanese/English fluency
(a MUST), 8+ years progressive experience in a
multinantional financial services environment,
hands-on experience with multi-currency, multi-company
consolidations and joint venture accounting, and
excellent interpersonal skills. MBA and/or CPA (or
equivalent) are strong pluses.
