Job Title: UNIX Systems Administrator
Job Requirements:
· Daily support of UNIX production infrastructure systems
· Provide 2nd level support of front-line organization
· Monitoring systems on a daily basis, planning expansions, major move support, bends in the batch cycle, response time issues in the on-line environment, tactical enhancements and fixes to the production environment
· Interface with product development groups, external vendors, coverage officers, and Information Technology management to carry out responsibilities
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills Requirements:
· SUN/OS 4.13, Solaris 2.5 required. AIX a plus
· Sun Sparc 10, 20, E3000, 4000
· Raid disk arrays / SUNODS / Veritas
· NFS/NIS, AFS is a Plus
· Strong Knowledge of ethernet and fiber networks
· Strong ability in problem identification, analysis and resolution
· Ability to manage trade-off between detailed problem tracking/resolution and identifying larger trends within the environment
· Pro-actively provide solutions and guarantee the integrity/quality of the production environment
· Person should have a computer science background or IT training with a minimum of 2-5 years UNIX administration experience
