Reports to Manager, Field Services Engineering Department.
Locations of positions are the Philippines.
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, acts as customer factory liaison for product reliability for Continuous Product Improvement activities concerning pick and place semiconductor equipment in the field.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
* Respond to customer requests for technical service and support.
* Provide training to customers concerning pick and place semiconductor equipment.
* Provide technical assistance to the Sales Department concerning pick and placement equipment sales.
* Provide troubleshooting and/or repair suggestions to customers.
* Perform on-site installations and repairs of equipment, following established testing procedures to ensure proper working order on site at customer’s location.
* Monitor product reliability and submit product improvement suggestions.
Qualifications:
* Education: Degree in Engineering discipline and / or equivalent technical industrial experience.
* Experience: Minimum of five to seven years as an electro-mechanical technician and one year customer service experience, or equivalent.
* Skills/Technical Requirements: Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings and detailed blueprints; use common tools and mechanical fixtures. Possess advanced electro-mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills. Ability to use diagnostic terminal at an advanced level. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, email over the Internet.
Job Conditions:
Domestic and international travel are required.
Physical Demands/Strengths:
Prolonged bending, kneeling, crawling and lying down. Ability to stand for eight hours. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (22 kg).
