JOB: JAPAN-Tokyo >> Japan Strategic Accounts Sales Director - URGENT
OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a worldwide leader providing consumer online Internet service. They operate in over 35 countries worldwide and is a major portal website, with over 250 million users visiting one of our client's websites every month. The Corporation is comprised of 3 main businesses: online advertising, e-Commerce and consumer subscriptions. Our client's Japan office is the 2nd largest market worldwide and The Corporation is currently seeking to staff a Strategic Account Sales Director for our Japan office.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to:
* Develop and maintain senior level relationships with top national branded advertisers in Japan of strategic
significance to The Corporation
* Manage a staff of 20 territory sales people in Japan
* Identify opportunities within key target accounts to develop long-term relationships resulting in significant and sustained revenue to The Corporation
* Participate in setting larger sales strategic direction of our client's key products and services
* Establish sales targets and sales processes to more effectively manage this territory
* Work across multiple divisions to bring 'end to end' solutions to clients. This will require a broad relationship with The Corporation's commercial sales groups and coordination with clients across multiple divisions
* Lead the development of strategies, assessing alternatives and communicating requirements to ensure positive future growth and development of the employees and company
* Guide and assist subordinates in solving problems
* Perform administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the operations, including developing and maintaining budgets
* Travel as required to attend local client meetings and worldwide or corporate level sales leadership events
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of sales and sales management experience.
-Experience within Media and Internet advertising sales a plus.
-Local market knowledge is highly desirable, and strong existing relationships with local advertising clients is an asset.
-Must have excellent presentation and customer management skills.
-Must have a strong track record in managing a team of at least 10 territory sales people.
-Must have an affinity for the consumer Internet industry.
-Must have the ability to handle competing objectives, a changing environment and huge competitive challenges a must.
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred
