Managing Director - Japan (CAE Software Products)

Our client, an internationally recognized leader in the CAE software industry, is seeking an executive level professional to lead our Japanese subsidiary.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer this executive level position is responsible for leading, developing and executing software product initiatives throughout Japan. Through personal in-depth knowledge of the CAE industry this person will drive the expansion of our technology leading to continued growth in revenue, profit and strategic dominance.
Beyond the basics of finding someone with a minimum of 10 years experience in leading all subsidiary functions, the key attribute that we are seeking is someone with significant, recent experience in the software industry as well as advanced knowledge of mechanical design automation tools and the CAE industry. This person ideally will have an advanced degree (PhD or MS) in an engineering discipline. An MBA is a strong plus.
CRITICAL ATTRIBUTES: Seasoned software technology executive with 10+ years experience in leading all corporate functions (finance, sales, marketing, engineering, administration) for a Japanese subsidiary of a US based company . Must be a "driver" who can make the numbers and always position the company for future growth. Must have a keen sense of the CAE industry (with a focus on the mechanical design market) including the current trends and where it is going in the future. Must have a stable and demonstrated employment record of managing organizations with greater than 50 people.
