Mission:The Director of Marketing, Asia Pacific is responsible for developing and driving revenue in the region through measurable marketing programs and developing unparalleled knowledge of the local markets. The regional teams will work closely with their marketing counterparts in Seattle to articulate global-yet locally relevant-strategies. They will work closely with Sales to execute powerful, integrated marketing campaigns.This position is based in Seattle, Washington, USA.
Responsibilities:
Primary:
Defines Asia Pacific marketing strategies for the product line as a whole and for individual products and programs throughout their life cycle.
Drive Direct Marketing initiatives (both online and offline) based on rigorous customer segmentation.
Customer Database management.
Drives both product and program introductions and sustaining marketing campaigns to achieve corporate goals for revenues and customer impact.
Sets product marketing priorities and recommends the appropriate marketing mix to drive customer awareness and interest in the products and to create an environment conducive to sales.
Works to maximize market impact though the appropriate use of pricing, advertising, events, sales training, promotional activities and collateral development.
Works with market managers to reach consensus on product positioning and proposed corporate marketing strategies.
Collaborates with market managers on strategies and tactics to impact product revenues and market share.
Works with market managers and sales entities to ensure a cohesive, coordinated annual marketing plan for the products and programs.
Communicates information on marketing programs, customer profiles and key success factors to sales entities and brand marketing teams on a timely basis.
Facilitates the development of on-target sales training, sales tools, channel programs and other promotional activities.
Works with our marketing analyst to drive market research as well as pricing and competitive analyses.
Collaborates with product development on developing new product ideas and ensures new products and programs are meeting the needs of the customer.
Directs the selection of appropriate advertising strategies and media sources and oversees related contract negotiations and rate management.
Oversee the collection, monitoring and measurement of marketing programs in the region.
Oversee regular monitoring and analysis of competitor activity.
Maximize partner relationships to gain market share in coordination with Business Development.
Qualifications:
8+ years Marketing experience, with an emphasis on product marketing; preferable for a catalog, creative agency or direct mail/publishing house with at least 3 years experience executing direct marketing strategies.
3+ years managing marketing campaigns in the Asia Pacific Region
MBA required
Demonstrated knowledge of product marketing, portfolio management and database strategies required.
