Next Step Resources is a leading supplier of permanent placement and consulting services to the automotive industry. The continued growth of one of our clients has created an opening for a CPA with strong bilingual skills in English and Japanese.
The selected candidate will perform internal auditing functions for the client, including (but not limited to) the translation of key financial documents and information from English to Japanese and Japanese to English, interpretation of this information, auditing financial data as needed; and translating the information so that it can be understood by both Japanese and American management. The individual will regularly report to senior management, make presentations, and develop detailed reports. The individual will need to be familiar with key database and ERP technology (such as Oracle Financials) to develop and pull of reports as necessary.
The position is based in Columbus, Ohio, named by several magazines as one of the most desirable markets in the United States.
Requirements:
Strong English and Japanese skills, both written and verbal, including business-level Japanese;
CPA (required);
BS in Accounting;
MBA (preferred);
MS Office (Excel and Powerpoint in particular) -- very strong skills required;
Oracle;
Strong experience in cost and management accounting;
Strong experience in U.S. accounting standards and practices, along with experience in Japanese accounting practices and standard reports;
Big 6 Accounting firm experience (preferred)
