The Rewards and Performance Management practice is part of Towers Perrin’s People Advisory Services (PAS). As a Consultant in the China practice, you should assist clients in their efforts to attract, retain and manage talent, by developing and implementing pay related solutions. Solutions can be broad in nature, e.g. total rewards, compensation strategy, culture change, improved performance, or more specific, e.g. job evaluation, salary structure development, variable pay design/implementation.

Responsibilities include:
1. Manage large-scale performance and reward projects
that often requires the integration of other HR
related practice areas, including communication,
change management, organization design and
management.
2. Design, develop and implement total rewards/
compensation strategies and programs targeted to
adjust clients’ business and people issues.
Interventions include, but are not limited to
incentive plans, competitive analysis, survey
development and other administration, competency
based pay, salary structure development, job
evaluation and also outsourcing.
3. Generate new business opportunities.
4. Enhanced the firm’s presence in local marketplace,
through efforts that include developing
affiliations in the professional community, writing
articles and delivering speeches.
5. Develop and manage client relationships.


The Candidate:
You should have an MBA in a business-related discipline with 4+ years experience within a compensation role, either a HR generalist with good compensation experience, or 3+ years experience within another HR consulting firm.

Candidates are expected to have good knowledge of financial reporting and financial statements, with excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential, knowledge of SPSS is a plus.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate the ability to generate new business as well strong commercial awareness and business acumen with a proven ability to align clients’ business strategies and total reward/compensation programs.

You should be a self starter who can strive in a fast paced evolving business environment with an excellent command of English and Mandarin Chinese languages, both spoken and written is essential. Fluency in
Cantonese and or Japanese will be an advantage.
