Director of ASIC Development

The Position:
Our client, a leading edge company is looking for a Director of ASIC Development who will provide technical leadership and management direction to the ASIC design team responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and verification of SoC ASICs for broadband wireless applications. These ASICs are complex and highly advanced implementations of this company’s proprietary technology for communications products. This company has the potential to dramatically change the wireless landscape, has garnered considerable interest from the investing community, and has secured significant private equity placement from strategic and venture investors alike.
The Person:
This position requires a BSEE or MSEE from accredited university with 8 or more years experience in ASIC design, implementation and verification. Must have at least 3 years experience managing complex ASIC design projects. Experience in all aspects of digital IC design, test, and methodologies is required as well as a proven track record in the development of complex ICs using COT flows. Must be familiar with available tools for design and analysis, including SPICE, Place & Route tools, full-chip placement using Avanti or Cadence tools, etc. The ideal candidate need to understand Chinese Mandarin.
