Our client is a leading worldwide manufacturer of high quality garment accessory products. They require a General Manager, based in Hong Kong, responsible for manufacturing in China, Hong Kong administrative offices and sales growth in Taiwan, Hong Kong and PRC.

The main responsibilities of the position consist of:
Manage both top line and cost items to deliver budgeted sales and profitability.
Develop new sales at targeted accounts; increase regional market share.
Ensure that the current service-oriented organization continually delights customers so we can grow market share with premium priced products at existing customers.
Participate in short-term and long-range operating strategy development and take responsibility for execution to achieve desired results.
Source products and raw materials, as required, to meet customer or cost requirements.
Develop vendor sources, and negotiate beneficial supply arrangements.
Instill a spirit of teamwork (in China and Hong Kong and between the two locations) so that staff works in a unified, collaborative manner to serve customers with product from the Chinese plant or other company locations.
Foster an environment that ensures that staff is pro active, take initiative, strive to compete aggressively, and pursue “thinking outside the box”.
Also ensure that all staff members are challenged to their maximum capability and that all personnel resources are fully utilized.
Work closely with the plant and New York-based operations and engineering personnel to continuously improve upon the production system.
Practice an open communications environment between the US and Asian staff.
Ensure timely reporting of all relevant sales, marketing, operating, and financial information, and operating metrics to the local staff and to the US.
Ensure compliance to operating procedures and policies.
Continuously look for ways to improve on existing procedures.
Build alignment with corporate executive management and other New York personnel to reach goals.
Establish close personal relationship with key customers, and industry leaders/contacts to ascertain market dynamics, anticipate market trends, and plan competitive actions.Build relations and interact with local Chinese authorities, as appropriate, in support of import, export and operational issues.
Ensure compliance with local country laws and corporate financial requirements.
Trustworthy and loyal.10-15 years in high volume manufacturing industry. Garment or garment accessory industry experience desired, but not necessary.Must be doing or have done a similar general management job with P&L responsibility.

Compensation:Hong Kong $ 40- 45 K per month.(7.78 Hong Kong $=1 US $)One-month standard bonus and additional, performance-based incentive and relocation expenses.
