POSITION TITLE: Operation Manager
LOCATION: Guangzhou
REPORT TO: General Manager (Hongkong)
COMPANY: Founded in 1988, the company designs, manufactures and distributes a wide range of infant and pre-school products including baby strollers, baby beds and playyards, ride-on cars, soft goods and other accessory products. Headquartered in Hong Kong, it has R&D centre in Taiwan and production facilities in Zhongshan and Shanghai, the PRC. The majority of the products are sold to customers in the US and various European countries.
BACKGROUND: The Company is planning to develop a new retail chain for pregnant women apparel and children accessories in China. It expects to develop its retail chain stores of around 2,000-15,000 sq.m. each, with the first store to be opened in Guangzhou.
To match with the business growth, and the establishment of its first Guangzhou store, the Company has the recruitment need for a newly created position of Operation Manager in Guangzhou.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Develop, coordinate, organize, and lead the first retail chain store for mother care products and children apparel and accessories in Guangzhou, including children recreation facilities and a coffee shop;
2. Define and coordinate business plan, sales forecast, retail operation plan, buying strategy, buying budget, brand development strategy, merchandising mix, distribution policy;
3. Define, plan and coordinate with store network, retail management, inventory control, discount policy, staff management;
4. Define and control sales projections, sales analysis, profit margin, and operation expenses;
5. Support sales team through product training, event promotion, merchandising display;
6. Enhance and monitor brand image and position in Guangzhou the China market.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. At least college degree, over 40 years old;
2. Over 15 years practical experience of retailing management, Management experience of large scale multinational superstores is preferred;
3. Strong negotiation and analytical skills;
4. Familiar with infant and mother’s products;
5. Fluent in English and Chinese;
6. Good communication and presentation skills.
