POSITION TITLE:
Senior Consultants / PrincipalConsultant

LOCATION:Beijing, Shanghai, or Shenzhen

RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Representative

THE COMPANY:The Company is one of the leading international human resources and actuarial consultancy firms. It provides professional advice and consultancy services on human resource strategies, compensation and benefits practices, change management, employee communications, organization effectiveness, retirement and pension schemes, insurance, investment and related areas.

Headquartered in the United States, it has a network of 92 offices around the world, and employs around 5,000 professional staff worldwide. Hong Kong is the Asia Pacific Headquarters and it looks after the China operation.


BACKGROUND The Company first entered into the China market since 1983. In 1995, the Company set up its first China representative office in Shanghai. It has now a wholly owned enterprise based in Shanghai, with branch office in Beijing.

The Company has 20 staff in Beijing, and around 25 staff in Shanghai, which include Managing Consultant in Beijing, General Managers in Beijing and Shanghai, and 25 professional consulting staff.

To match with the expanding business activities and market complexity in China, the Company has the recruitment needs of additional consultants in China.

PRIMARY DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES: I. BUSINESS DEVLEOPMENT

 To identify business opportunities, investigate and undertake business promotion activities for China pursuant to the business development strategies approved by the top management;

 To build and develop client relationship within the region, liaise, and coordinate with clients to develop human resources consulting projects including organisation effectiveness, change management, compensation and benefits, merger and acquisition, and state-owned company reform projects.

II. PROJECT MANAGEMENT

 To design and develop human resources consulting projects in accordance with clients’ specifications and which are profitable to the company;

 To launch, implement, manage and deliver human resources consulting projects; and

 To organize and conduct nationwide service campaigns in conjunction with the China consulting teams in Beijing and Hong Kong.

III. MANAGEMENT

 To lead and develop human resources practice group and team in China; and

 To train and coach the China consulting team with the technical skills relevant to projects and customer service.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Consultants, Analysts and supporting staff.

WORK ASSOCIATES: Consulting team members in China and overseas

DECISION MAKING &
PROBLEM SOLVING
REQUIREMENTS: 1. To be fully responsible for assigned consulting projects in China;

2. To be accountable for the project profit and loss;

3. In consultation with the Chief Representative & Principal Consultant in China, plan and develop business strategies and plans for the overall China operation.

TRAINING: To facilitate the operation of the appointed candidate to deliver the quality services and products to the clients, the Company will offer:

 Training in Hong Kong;
 Training in Shanghai and/or Beijing delivered by overseas trainers; and
 On-the-job training
