POSITION: Buying Manager
LOCATION: Shanghai, P.R. China
THE COMPANY: One of the Asian apparel marketing leaders by providing mass appeal but fashionable merchandise. The company was introduced in 1985, specialize in clothing chain distributing both fashionable men’s and ladies career wear and is at the forefront of the apparel retail industry.
The Group has established over 300 outlets of wholly owned or franchising business in the region covering Hong Kong, Macau, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea.
With commitment to the expansion of business in Greater China, the company has the recruitment need for a Regional Financial Manager who has the overall financial and internal audit responsibilities for the company in China.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
1. Develop sales plan and buy plan for PRC market;
2. Closely monitor the sales throughout the season;
3. Control buying budget throughout the season;
4. Work with designers and merchandisers for buying and merchandise production;
5. Work with shop managers and franchisees regarding buying plan and budget;
6. Control price markdowns;
7. Control inventory and stock flow;
8. To lead, manage, and develop a buying team;
9. Ensure financial target is achieved.
SUBORDINATES: 4 (2 Buyers and 2 Assistant Buyers)
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Tertiary educated;
2. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in fashion industry of which at least 2 year gained in PRC market;
3. High understanding and knowledge of men’s and lady’s wears market and customer behavior;
4. Strong analytical mind, numerate as well as details oriented;
5. English and Mandarin with excellent communication and reporting skills;
6. Mature, organized and capable of adapting to multi-cultural business environment.
TRAVEL
REQUIREMENT: The incumbent would be required to travel for business development and marketing activities
