Job scope and responsibilities:
•Responsible for pre-service testing, network development and the ongoing maintenance of the telecommunications network systems, VSAT equipment, IP switches, routers, PSTN switches and VoIP equipment.
•Duties include capacity optimization and management, developing applications and perform system integration of various VoIP systems with the Internet or Intranet.
•Duties also include developing billing solutions for VoIP applications with solution vendors.
•To work with the business development team and the regional HQ to ensure timely deployment of projects.
Requirements:
•Possess degree in Electrical / Computer Science / Computer / Communications Engineering or equivalent.
•At least 2 years' experience in designing and developing solutions for the Internet and Voice Telecommunication Systems such as VoIP, VSAT systems and PSTN switches.
•Have good understanding of Internet and PSTN technologies, and of wide area network (WAN) protocols, including those used for PSTN.
•Hands-on knowledge of UNIX/Windows NT, Internet protocols - TCPIP, SIP, OSPF, BGP4, DNS and networking technologies - Voice TDM, Ethernet is essential.
•Advanced-level experience in Network equipment (e.g. Clarent, Nuera, Cisco VoIP and network elements, Lucent Excel Voice Switches) will be preferred.
•Strong project management skills.
•Able to travel at short notice.
