A joint venture being formed between Melcor Corporation, a U.S manufacturer of thermoelectric products and a subsidiary of Fedders Corporation, a NYSE listed company and a leading global manufacturer of air treatment products, including air conditioners, air cleaners, dehumidifiers and humidifiers, and thermal technology products, and Quanzhou Hua Yu Electrical Component Factory, a highly regarded Chinese manufacturer of thermoelectric modules, is looking for a Vice President, Finance.
The position is responsible for the management of accounts and financial statements of the joint venture. Primary duties consist of preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and producing monthly management, financial and statutory reports and managing cost improvement programs.
To be considered for this position candidates must have the following:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s in finance preferred
· Bilingual in English and Mandarin
· Minimum of 3 years experience with full set of accounts and exposure to foreign currency transactions/translations
· Independent and conscientious individual with “hands-on” approach
· Prior hard goods manufacturing and cost accounting experience
The joint venture is located in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China.
