OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB -
To sell products to brokers and institutions within North Asia and to be responsible for the account management, growth and development of all clients within this region.
In addition, to manage and develop the Sales & Trading Account Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
· To achieve new business sales targets;
· To be responsible for achievement of targets for revenue generation, usage and message volumes;
· To work closely with other staff in Asia, Europe and the US to leverage sales and maximise revenue;
· To effectively manage the North Asia Account Manager to ensure that strong client relationships are developed and that they achieve usage and volume targets.
SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB -
Technical
· General computer literacy;
· A basic understanding of data-vending: leased-lines, TCP/IP, internet, routers etc would be an advantage;
· Working knowledge of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Managerial
· Previous experience of managing/recruiting sales or account management staff would be an advantage;
· Must be self-motivated, disciplined, mature and able to work effectively and conscientiously without close management.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -
· Knowledge of financial markets and in particular equity trading – Desirable;
· Excellent and demonstrable track record within a B2B sales role – Essential;
· Knowledge of indications of interest and/or electronic order routing – Desirable;
· Experience of selling to traders and/or institutional dealers and contacts within same – Highly desirable.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
· Secondary school education/Degree preferred;
· 3-5 years sales experience;
· Formal sales training.
Excellent communication skills required as well as a dynamic personality combined with maturity and professionalism.
