Job Description : Conduct Site Inspection off site and to ensure works done are in
Accordance to the approved drawings and work specifations and
Standards. Coordinate with the Project In Charge for on going job
or activities on site. Inspection of excavation, boring works and
piling works. Inspection of materials delivered on site. Direct in
control with the inspection of rebarworks and formwork installa-
tion prior to concrete pouring / casting. Check and inspect
concretes delivered on site and witnessed slump test. To ensure that
the works done is in compliance to the approved specifications and
standards.
Approval of works prior to concrete pouring of substructures such as
Pile Cap, Piers and Suspended Decks. Conduct inspection and testing
of earthing installation of Pile Cap, Piers and Decks.
Jobs included for Viaduct construction are:
1. Bored pile Construction monitoring.
- Monitoring of Boring works i.e. driving of steel casing.
- To ensure that soil sample has been taken for drilling log report and soil investigation for the 1st pile bored and every 1. 00 m elevation.
- Rebarcage fabricated inspection prior to placement to bored hole.
- Inspection of rebarcage welding and connection on deformed bars via placement to bored hole.
- Survey checking (elevation) top of Steel casing,Diam. 1500 – 200 mm. Counterchecking of survey
- Monitor concrete pouring i.e. reading of every truckload of concrete poured in bored hole for concrete rise.
- Prepares Bored pile construction report.
- After 7 days of concrete cured and compressive test. Monitor and witnessed integrity testing on of bored pile on site. Testing machine includes oscilloscope, two electronic rod drop on sonic pipes alternate to all pipes, 1 rod is the transmitter and other rod is the receiver, and the oscilloscope will record the integrity of piles.
- If testing are all ok and passed, monitoring of grouting of sonic pipes. 1 set of sample is to be taken for compressive testing.
- Monitor pile head cutting after in receipt of test results for the grouting.
- Filing of all pertaining documents and approved drawings.
- Witnessed compressive testing of concrete cylinder
- Preparation of Lean concrete for Pile cap construction.
2. Pile Cap construction.
- Checked and inspection of platform prior to placement and
of rebars, i.e Pile Head cleaning and starter bars for Pier Stem.
